3 Halloween Costume Predictions

VN:F [1.6.4_902]
Rating: 5.0/5 (1 vote cast)

It seems like Halloween is the best time of the year to lose yourself and slip into the skin of someone else via a great costume! Its this chance of being able to go undercover as ’someone else’ that motivates us to hunt for the perfect costumes for ourselves, our family and our friends.

It can be so exciting to share with others what an awesome Halloween costume you’ve found for yourself or your loved ones!

Keep in mind that different costumes are preferred by people of different age groups. While the little kids love the simple, fun-looking, character costumes; older kids tend to focus like a laser beam on any costume that will scare a parent half-to-death! Different preferences aren’t just for the kiddies either, adults too have a tendency in costume choice. We want to have a costume that helps up get into a theme of being ’someone else’–men usually going for macho costumes like 300 or Firefighter, and the women mostly get attracted by the sexy ones like naughty nurse or sassy school girl.

If you are still undecided about what kinds of costumes you are going to buy for your family, here are some tips, categorized by age groups:

1. Little Kids 0-12: Like I said, this little guys usually prefers something funny and trendy. The usual costume preferred by kids are those of Winnie-the-Pooh, pumpkins, princesses, and animals, and favorite TV and Movie characters! This year especially popular will be Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Star Wars: Clone Wars and such for the boys. Disney princesses and similar costumes of other popular princesses are hot among girls.

2. Big Kids 13-18: Older kids prefer to move into the scary-freaky type of Halloween costume. Take anything that smells of the Undead and a teenage boy is probably going to want it. You’ve got Punk zombies, various Undead masks, along with all of the big Horror film characters: Freddy, Jason, Michael and Jigsaw. For the girls most will tend to go with a character theme or a simple version of a good standard costume: cheerleader, school girl, princess, witch and more.

3. Adults 18+: This year, superheroes and movie characters appear to be the hot trend with men. They are preferring costumes featuring Iron Man, Spiderman, and still popular as ever is Captain Jack Sparrow. The evergreen costumes for men are of course always the ones featuring pirates, kings, devils, etc.

With women, the popular ones are always those on witches, sexy nurse, sexy schoolgirl, pirate winches, naughty nuns, royal queens, and such. This year however women are going for something even sexier and trendier by including lingerie into the costume outfit.

I hope my predictions help you make the right kinds of costume choices for your entire family! With the right type of costumes, and the right accessories to enhance the overall theme of your Halloween costume character you are sure to enjoy taking a break from “being yourself” this Halloween season.

VN:F [1.6.4_902]
Rating: 5.0/5 (1 vote cast)

Halloween is just around the corner. Have you planned anything for your lady Halloween costume yet? If not, it is time to start planning. After all, what is Halloween without a good looking, sexy lady Halloween costume?

Since there is nothing set in stone about Halloween costumes, you can wear whatever you wish. If you want to look a bit sexy this year, you could add some sexy lingerie to your Halloween costume. You will not only look sexy with the appropriate lingerie, but also generate a lot of attention from others. Of course, if you are uncomfortable with unnecessary attention, then you may want to go with a “straightforward packaged” lady costume.

You can buy lingerie costumes from your local store but if you are short on time then I would recommend you visit the online stores instead! Believe it or not, you will find a larger variety of costume styles and sizes from online stores than you would from your local store. Your choice of lingerie should be based on two criteria: your body size, and more importantly, what costume theme you want to parade around in!

Since size is what it is, I want to share with you three options to decide on the second criteria–the theme of your sexy lady Halloween costume! Keep in mind that you should choose lingerie that you feel comfortable with. Whatever you choose for yourself, if you are able to carry yourself without feeling awkward or uneasy then you will really enjoy being part of (and the sexy focus of) all your Halloween party celebrations!

Here are the Top 3 sexy lady Halloween costume themes:

1. Sexy nurse costume: Whether you are a Registered nurse in real life or not doesn’t matter; if you are someone who wouldn’t mind giving others a helping hand and more, then the sexy nurse costume will surely compliment your personality! Of course be sure to beg, borrow and steal the extras to really help with the complete Sexy Nurse image: a tongue depressor, stethoscope, a flu shot, etc.

2. Sexy school girl costume: Think Britney Spears meets your local Catholic school girl, right? Perhaps you reflect back to that time when you were a sexy school girl and used to flirt with other boys? If you love the idea of walking down memory lane, or at least down the old school hall to head to ‘Detention’ for bad behavior, then the sexy school girl costume might be right up your alley. If you go this sexy route then be sure to add the enhancements like the side pony tails, short sweater with sleeves rolled up, and short cut shirt to show off your tummy.

3. Sexy police officer costume: Are you ready to maintain law and order at the party? Its easy to think of a bad cop – good cop image or sexy cop and robber combo for couples with this theme. Where is your badge? You dont need no stinking badges when you got such sexy handcuffs and a big long baton to enforce your Halloween will. And, if you think you can’t do it all yourself, you can even ask another girlfriend to pose as your deputy!

So there you go, 3 sexy lady Halloween costume theme ideas to go with. Remember to look through online selections to get additional ideas for more sexy themes for yourself and even a sexy couples theme to go with this Halloween!

3 Fun Party Ideas to Celebrate Halloween 2009

VN:F [1.6.4_902]
Rating: 5.0/5 (1 vote cast)

Halloween is not all about scaring others and getting scared in return, neither it is all about ‘tricking or treating’ our neighbors and collect huge bags of candies from them; in fact, you can do much more than just that! In this article I will tell you of some of the things I used to do or plan to do in Halloween. I hope you enjoy it!

1. The ghosting game: Last year we played a game called “ghosting”. It was a very simple game. All we would do is just take a bagful of candies, attach a card to it that says: “Happy Halloween. You are being haunted! Please forward this bag to anyone you wish!” We would put those bags at the doors of strangers and friends alike, and needless to say, they got passed around like crazy! Everyone was ‘ghosted’ and there is no need to say that they enjoyed every bit of it!

2. You know well how difficult it is to get ideas for the perfect Halloween costume; it becomes all the more hard when there is a need for not just one but several identical costumes. In our times it was easy as we would be content with those nice looking princess costumes, the funny looking animal costumes, the scary ghostly costumes, or the superhero costume.

But nowadays, it is all about “groups”. Whenever you are buying costumes, you need to buy the ones that a whole group can wear! That is where the difficulty starts. However we used to scratch our heads and come up with groups themes like Snow White and the seven dwarfs, The Wizard of Oz, costumes that reflect sports teams, etc.

I can still remember how I and my wife used to visit multiple stores and rummage through the piles of clothes there. Sometimes we got nothing to our satisfaction, but instead of being disappointed, we used to smile back at the worried face of the salesman! At other times we would get everything from one store!

The funniest part of it all was probably the lengthy discussions that were held by our kids with regards to the choice of Halloween costumes. We used to ignore it as trivia, but it was not so for our kids; they would discuss things in such a serious manner that you’d think as if an important meeting of a company’s board of directors is taking place over there!

3. I would be doing an injustice to you if I don’t tell you about the kinds of Halloween parties we have here. It is no ordinary pumpkin-party; it is another craze of sorts. I invite 40-50 friends of our kids and of course, their parents are also invited. All of them have a feast, then they go on for a scavenger hunt, and the show ends with a very scary performances put up by the fathers of the children!

Last year it was really funny. A group of kids came to our door yelling, beating drums, with torch lights in hands, so much so that a couple of police vans were after them, We explained the whole situation to the police and then it was all fine! After that we had a big laugh over all this!

Planning a Halloween party the right way may seem to be a bit of work at the start but the fun you get afterwards has no other substitute! I hope these ideas help you in hosting your own successful and rocking Halloween party! Let the show begin!

3 Essential Tips for a Successful Halloween Party!

VN:F [1.6.4_902]
Rating: 5.0/5 (1 vote cast)

How can you think of Halloween without a little partying? In this article I will give you three creative ideas for hosting a successful Halloween party, a party that would leave your guests spellbound!

1. Halloween party food tips: Halloween party is not complete without delicious foods (if you don’t believe me, ask your kids)! So what have you planned for this year?

If you haven’t planned anything yet, it is never too late to begin! Plan what foods you are going to make available for your Halloween party guests. You should try to pick only those foods which can be cooked in advance and kept frozen; this would ensure that you have plenty of time to make other plans for your Halloween party!

When making foods, you should keep the age groups of your guests in mind. If you are going to prepare foods that are in the shapes of ghouls, bats, witches, goblins, etc., that is okay as long as your party is a strictly adults’ party. But if children are going to attend it then you should make your foods less scary, as some children become afraid all too easily.

It is also important to note that while most foods can be consumed both by adults and children, there are some which may not be suitable for younger kids!

2. The pumpkin tips: Jack-o-lanterns are probably the number one tool used to scare people in Halloween, so you really cannot do away without them. You should buy pumpkins of various shapes and sizes so that you can have scary and sneering jack-o-lanterns of various shapes in and around your house!

Store the pumpkins in your house in advance and then carve them just a day before the Halloween party. If candles are not enough, you can use some flashlights to make the jack-o-lanterns really grimacing and frightening!

3. The decoration tips: It is easy to be fooled into believing that in order to give a realistic look to your haunted house, you must spend a lot of money on Halloween decorations or props. However, it is not true. You can do away with minimal decorations and still be able to make your house as spooky and ghostly as you want it to be! It is the kind of decorations you choose that matters, not its amount! For example, if you make use of some scary sounds, and then some horror lighting using black and orange colored lights, it will give your house the kind of eerie feeling that you want! This way, you will be able to scare off people even by using minimal Halloween props!
